It was formerly known as the Bavaria 36 (1998) and is part of Bavaria's Cruiser series, known for reliability and solid construction. Aboard The Paper Boat Project, Stefan Heiberg and Oliwia found the 37-foot length felt compact and slightly narrow for their needs while sailing in significant swell and 35-knot winds near Malta.10:44 Heiberg adjusted the boat's heading by 10 degrees off the wind to reduce slamming and increase speed in heavy seas.11:53 The Bavaria 37's design prioritizes a lower price point, appealing to entry-level buyers, and remains in production due to its proven reliability.5:22
