The Swan 44 (S&S) is a 13.4-meter masthead sloop designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Nautor from 1972 to 1978. This fin-keel yacht, also sold as the PJ-44, has a displacement of 12,700 kg and a draft of 2.3 meters. Sixty-two units of the tall mast version were produced. A 1972 model, *Astrid*, underwent a 2019 refit that included new stainless steel standing rigging, North Sails furling genoa and mainsail, and a Beta 50 horsepower engine. Its deck features teak, an electric windlass, and four two-speed, self-tailing chrome winches, with a B&G navigation system in the cockpit. Below deck, the interior received new headlining, flooring, and varnished woodwork, with the original sea berths removed for storage. The galley includes a new cooker, hob, fridge, and twin stainless steel sinks. The forward cabin converts between a double and two singles, and the aft cabin offers two berths with private access to a refurbished head.
