It has a twin keel hull, a 7.7-meter beam, a 1.2-meter draft, and displaces 9184 kg. Aboard *Sailing Supernova*, a Voyage 44 catamaran served as the training vessel for an International Yacht Training commercial captain’s license, where the crew practiced solo docking, mooring ball pickups, and man-overboard drills in tight, shallow dock spaces.15:00 The training emphasized paper chart navigation, supplementing the crew's electronic navigation experience. *MJ Sailing* joined friends aboard a Voyage 440 for a trip from Kent Island to St. Michael’s, Maryland.10:24 The installation of deck hardware on a catamaran, such as Southco 316 stainless steel hinges and cam latches on forward sail locker hatches, requires de-coring the foam between fiberglass layers and backfilling with thickened resin to prevent water intrusion.9:07
